    Join us for a special April member session, "COBRA Premium Assistance Under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021," on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 10am -11am. The session will be facilitated by Scott Miller, Senior Benefits Advisor with the US Department of Labor, Chicago Office.

     

    About the Presenter:

    Scott Miller is a Senior Benefits Advisor in the Chicago Regional Office of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA).  Mr. Miller began his career with EBSA in 2004.  Since then, he has assisted thousands of participants, beneficiaries, and benefit plan fiduciaries understand their rights and duties under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), which is the law that protects the benefits of workers and retirees in private-sector pension and welfare plans.  Mr. Miller has also recovered millions of dollars in benefits owed to these participants and beneficiaries through informal dispute resolution.  Mr. Miller has a B.A. in Economics and Politics from Lake Forest College and a J.D. and LL.M. in Employee Benefits from The John Marshall Law School.
