BROAD FUNCTION
This position assists in the management and coordination of human resource activities including employee relations, recruiting and selection for hourly positions, benefits coordination and policy enforcement
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Responsible for administrative H/R functions. Responsible for hourly payroll function for plant and provide back up to the other BPNA facilities. Coordinate all facets of the hourly recruitment process. Manage all facets of the attendance policy.
Duties
- Manage all facets of the attendance policy

- Coordinate all facets of the hourly recruitment, screening, and onboarding process
|
- Manage all facets of the new hire orientation process
|
- Review policies and procedures and make recommendations as to changes
|
- Provide training in human resource venues- (EEOC, Sexual Harassment training, Benefits and Company overview)
|
- Manage the probationary review process
|
- Manage all facets of the hourly payroll function
|
- Reconcile the IMPREST fund
- Assist H/R manager in meeting H/R budget
- Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database.
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.

- Responsible for all administrative H/R functions
|
- Coordinate and plan employee engagement activities and events
- Coordinate and publish monthly communications
- Ensure all communication centers are maintained in an orderly fashion with up-to-date material.
- Assist Ottawa employees and visitors with travel arrangements.
- Data entry for training records, hours and minutes of Employee Meetings.
- Handle benefits and payroll administration for bargaining unit and salaried employees. Ensure issues are resolved timely and within established contract or plan guidelines.
- Prepare headcount, turnover, attendance, and other reports as requested by local and business line managers.
- Manage payroll approval, oversight and employee payroll changes via UKG. Working closely with corporate payroll personnel.
- Coordinate Executive Visit, Audits, Workshops and Conferences hosted by the Ottawa facility
- Fill in for the Human Resource Manager in their absence
- Adherence to the NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its’ Values and Principles

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business, or Organizational Development or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years progressive experience in Human Resources, preferably in manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of applicable State & Federal Employment Laws
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Teams, Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Knowledge of payroll systems (UKG/Kronos preferred)
- Knowledge of Benefit Plans
